What should I do if I am exposed ?

#1 Monitor for symptoms, the average number of days before symptoms is 5. Take your temperature daily > 100.4 is a fever.

#2 You should quarantine for 14 days, even with a negative test

#3 Try to obtain a COVID test - I would wait a few days after the exposure ideally if you are asymptomatic. See my previous posts on where to get tested.

#4 Let people you were around know to monitor for symptoms, hopefully everyone was wearing a mask. CDC says close contact is >15 minutes less than 6 feet apart with no mask.

#5 Ideally start Vitamin C 1000mg, Vitamin D 1000 IU minimum

I found this article, by a mom of two kids who got COVID-19 and a pediatrician very informative and a good summary. Especially regarding the re-opening of schools.
